Etest Results

sharing etest results 1995 Turbo 318i, 38Lb injectors, 91octane, Motronic Tuned by bmwconnections, 2.5'' $40 ebay catt with crank vent hooked up, fresh oil ,and car idled ten mins before test . According to the shop I went to this is one of the best tests they have seen involving a bmw

There is no reason for other turbo conversions to fail if they are tuned correctly

2-speed idle test doesn't check NO.

Great Job Bear... What's the trick to getting them to do the 2 speed idle? When you lower CO, NOx goes up. Given that your CO was 0, the NOx was probably very high, but not tested with idle test.

Typically, etest is striking a balance between rich (high HC and CO) and lean (high NOx).

Anyway, I'm very impressed Bear, and you know I don't impress easily.

Send a message via MSN to propr'one
most engines produce very little emissions under zero load.

just tell them the car is too low and was damaged last time it was on the dyno.

Jay and proudbmwownr its the trick that propr'one has suggested. My car is too low to run on the one at the shop anyway. I would have passed a rolling road test also no doubt there . it helps when the afrs are bang on

Here you go!

I have to say, the car did not like doing the etest. He turned the ASC off but it didn't like not moving with the rear wheels going 40km/h ! The guy said the all the lights(ABS, ASC, etc) will go off eventually, but I didn't take any chances. I plugged in the laptop and cleared the codes with Carsoft.

I'm glad they are working well. I wasn't really looking forward to changing them. But now I guess I won't need to anytime soon (crossing fingers).
