Well I never said it was you...
And thats the one thing Jay did, and trust me, Jay knows what he's doing. Anybody who knows Jay will hand their keys to him no problem, including myself.

Meh, I'll own up to what my driver did. Just because you guys know Jay can drive doesn't me that others can't be better. Also Jay325i, calm down, was just saying what my own 2 eyes has seen. Don't like being nailed against a wall because a friend did a small drift. Like I said, it's w/e. I enjoyed myself and loved meeting everyone in person, not to mention seeing old friends.

Steve i think what everyone is trying to say is, certin people are comfortable with others driving because they have cruised with them b4. Jay if anyone who has been organizing these things for ever knows the routes and may at time let it out when appropriate.
Once people are comfortable with the "newer" people out on the cruise things are different, it just the way it is. Many of us have driven thousands of KM's together and know each other limits, and how they drive, and are comfortable with picking it up.
New comers to cruises often are so hyped up sometimes adrenilin kicks in and mistakes happen. Get used to how the cruises run, and allow people to get used to you and your driving, you'll have alot of fun with these guys if you do.
Alot of the experienced drivers may look at the limits but they are far from it, they do that on the track, and many of the guys have alot of years, schools and autocrosses ect that have allowed them to react with out thought. Sorry but if someone trys to show off, and they are new, people get worried cause it draws attention and puts them at risk.

I hear where your coming from. I'll know next time to stay at the back lol and just hang out there while people who know the route can have fun. Some of those roads are pretty sketchy only for lowered cars as you pretty much bottom out a couple times.

Yeah, no action shots, sorry guys, I was thinking the same thing...but on the cruise I was driving, and I didn't have a passenger, so it would have been kinda tricky (and my camera's not that great with the action shots anyway!). As for the auto x, I have no excuse, except for it was my first time out, and after the first drive, and then every other one, my eyes were bugging out of my head and my heart was pounding pretty good, and all I could do was babble on about how much fun it was!!! lol Maybe next time, I'll calm down and take some pics!
Thanks for the advice about Picasa. It's weird, I posted the pics the same way as I did all the other times and they always came out small before...so I wasn't sure what to do.

Well put, Rich.
As a new guy myself, I just want to put it out there that if anyone ever sees something they feel is dangerous or offensive about my driving, please tell me! I promise I won't be offended, and will take the advice to heart.
I don't want to hurt anyone because I'm doing something foolish, and I don't want to be disrespectful to those that organize the cruise and those that have been doing this safely for years.
Anyway, it was great to meet everyone as usual, hopefully the weather is nice on the weekend and many will attend the cruise in Durham on Sunday.

If you have never been on a cruise and have never been on the roads thats cool...stay in the back. The people who run that road ever week and have been for years don't want to get stuck behind you. It's ok to go slow and be careful just don't hold everyone else up while you are doing it.

I'll bring the magazine with the article about home paint jobs, it lists polishing and buffing compounds specific to acrilic paint, Brent great job so far on the paint, once you wet sad out the runs, polish and buff it no one will know!!!!
As for signing up so your membership www.trillium-bmwclub.com, you can do it online, and you'll be set for the next autocross.

Although we have our difference, I'll have to agree with this. Well put.
Too many excited new guys pushing the limits. It all comes with time and patience, also, I noticed a few cars with VERY questionable (ahem) tires. If I was there with a more expensive car, I PERSONALLY would have spoken to the organizers and not let you come on the cruise. I don't care if its "track" or "cool".
