E38 Guru, Edwin is coming to NJ/PA Road Trip!
Hello fellow E38'ers!
If you have been on bimmerforums or bimmerboard for your 7 at all, you would have an idea on who Edwin NL is. If you don't, well this guy can fix/program anything on an E38.
He lives in Amsterdam but makes trips to the US to meet up with forum members and help them out with their cars for a nominal fee. Last year he was on the west coast and this year he is visiting the east coast. His itineray is as follows:

In the morning we are driving down to Scott's house in North Carolina, on Friday off to Atlanta for a meeting there from 18th till the 20th of June .
The 21st I leave from Atlanta (via Newark) back to Amsterdam.
Meeting in PA/NJ area on the 12th and 13th (TBD)

I would be down for a road trip down to NJ/PA but not to Atlanta. Personally was thinking of going for 11th, 12th & 13th of June and meet up with they guys there, get some programming done and most important, ROAD TRIP with the 7!
So, if any MaX E38 members are down to go, but don't want to take their ride, we can carpool and split gas. Whatever works.
From the top of my head of the guys I personally know here, V12 (Jeff) would be interested as he has made this trip before to meet Edwin, and Dammerung (Zain) to go down. All others are welcome.
Let me know if anyone has any questions.
Cheers

Thanks for the info man.
I wish I can join in on the trek, but other commitments prevail.
Nothing like a row of rollin' 7s on the turnpike.

That would be a great sight! Having been to the PA meet with another 7er from Mississauga, I can definitely say the guys who showed up from MASS/NY/PA/NJ/MD/VA are great people and it was impressive to see that many 7s together with Edwin working on many of them.
I am actually thinking of the Atlanta trip, so one more week or os to decide.

Sure thing, I am going to the next BMW club autocross Jun 6th, to meet up with another up with a few other 7s - hopefully. We can chat there if you and Zain has time to come.

Trillium Autocross June 6
I plan to be there around 10:30. Great venue with autocross as backdrop for pics. Since it is very close to HW7/400 and Vaughan, we can also grab lunch nearby.

Jeff, I am 100% on going to the NYC/NJ/PA meet. I will be leaving on Friday the 11th and returning early Monday night.
For Atlanta, what are your accomodations?

Have fun in PA, Hardeep! Looks like quite a few people are going to show.
For Atlanta, I have a hotel for Friday in Atlanta near Buckhead then overnight at Cody's place in the mountain for Sat night.
On the ay to and front, there will be a hotel night midway to be firmed up depending which route and people I meet halfway to drive down together.
Might have a chance to visit the BMW museum along the way.

Nice!
I am heading out on Friday morning to reach NYC for the afternoon/evening and staying with a forum member out there. Hoping to leave NYC/NJ on Saturday and head down to Harrisburg, PA to meet up with another member and stay the night with him and then head out to New Hope, PA on Sunday for the meet and then either head back that night or the next morning.
All in all, it should be a good trip.
My co-pilot bailed on me so I am still looking for someone to come with, so you E38 guys, if anyone wants to roll with, let me know!
