Miller MAF kit installed.

I installed their Gen3 MAF with 19lb injectors.

Straight out... this car is a blast to drive now. Over 3500 the intake noise (K&N cone) is just sick, I think I literally scared the shit out of some people passing them. Not only does it sound better, it hauls some ass now, and the response is amazing compared to the old AFM.

Spirited driving: the OBC is telling me around 9.5 - 11L/100. If I cruise around town, depending on stops and who I'm following I see between 6 and 7.5L/100.

I'm guessing on the highway (haven't tested yet) it will be 5.5 - 6.5 steady.

Every time I emailed Brody at Miller Performance I had an email reply the same day or next day, overall I give the Kit and the Company 9/10 stars.

Money well spent!

AFAIK if you installed higher flow rate injectors than stock, you can no longer trust what the OBC is telling you for fuel consumption as the number it gives is based on the duty cycle of the injectors and the flow rate of the stock injectors. The ECU will compensate for the high flow injectors by lowering the duty cycle which causes the OBC to report lower fuel consumption rates.

I could be wrong, but I'd check your economy the old fashioned way and compare.

Is this on a stock 2.5?

I waited years for MarkD to come out with a MAF upgrade, but he didn't end up releasing it.

Yeah I spoke with Mark last year about this, he said for him to offer a legitimate product like that (i.e. buy the MAF's and sell with a chip) would cost a lot of money as the MAF's are $$$ new, and as we all know the E30 group in general is pretty cheap . That being said he did say he'd be willing to build a set-up if for someone if they would lend him their car so he can tune it properly, and I'm sure if you source a used working MAF of the right make the price would be reasonable.

...don't quote me on that though, talk to Mark lol

Yes but the chip is programmed for the 19lb injectors. It also keeps the a/f ratio within parameters and knows how much air is being added. I'm assuming if it knows all these things it can deduct how much fuel is being applied.

T.dot e30... Other than weight reduction, A/C and ABS delete, it's a stock 325i running the 19lb MAF Miller Performance chip with 7k limiter on a 173 Motronic Box. K&N cone filter which I kept from my 2.7i

Thing runs like a dream though. I can do a test the old fashioned way and I'll report it on here.

Did you get it with the programmable chip, or just the MAF by itself? I am eager to see how this sounds. If it sounds louder than my airbox, I want one!

No I didn't get the WAR chip. I was going to but I blew too much on getting my BBS RM's.

It came with the pre-programmed performance chip for 19lb injectors. Still runs 87 octane.

I'll have to record it, I'm sure I can get a decent sound with the Nikon.

The best price I could find 3 years ago was around $220 USD for the MAF from a place in California. (SSF) I've got parts to make a few M20 MAF conversions here so if anyone really wants one, send me an email.

I may consider it. But I really need a test car in the Toronto area.

But you are not in the Toronto area. You are in the GPA. (Greater Peterborough Area)

I'll talk to you soon about this.

I'm seriously considering turbocharging one of the M5's, then you won't have to travel so far to see a black turbo. But I have to build my garage in the backyard first so you guys should start buying some of my chips.
