Yup your door bars look good.

The cage is being done by RCS in Hamilton. They build the cages for some drift cars in DMCC and built the two Solstices that run in CCTCC.

Why not tie into the front and rear towers?

Gotta consider the rules in different series as some may not allow those mods in specific BMW Club Racing classes...

Why limit yourself to BMW Club Race classes?
I think that any BMW Mod class allows a real cage, so does any CASC class and NASA, if you want to do some US races. Plus it's safer and you get a much stiffer chassis.

AFAIK, Prepared class rules don't allow cages tied to the shock towers. And a lot of the top running Prepared cars are actually faster than some Mod class cars... Just leaving the door open for options is a good idea. Makes car resale much easier too

Yeah this is the main idea. If I ever decide to sell the car, the only market for E36's seems to be in the states. The car won't be "built" enough for any class over Prepared. So it's getting a Prepared spec cage just in case it goes up for sale, then I don't have a hard time selling an oddball setup.

Reading the new Club Race rules, it's looked like they you to run the Prepared cage to the shock towers? Is this a typo, did I read it wrong?

Track car cost and resale would not be used in the same thought!

Decided on a different route for bushings.

Switching out the Powerflex subframe bushings for solid aluminum mounts.
Changing Delrin RTABs for Turner Motorsport spherical mounts.
Installing spherical mounts for the Inner/upper control arm.

Got quite a good deal on all these with new subframe studs and bolts. Saved around $200. Woot!

Need to sell the other bushings. Pm me if interested:

E36 Powerflex Subframe Mounts (Black high durometer. Much stiffer than purple. No km's. Just installed once)

TcKline Delrin Rear Trailing Arm "Bushings"

Hahaha, how do you just decide to switch things up like that like it's no work to do it. It cost me around $800 to do my rear subframe bushings back in the day!

Yeah I'm not happy that I have to pull the rear end again and change all that crap again....but it's going to be well worth it in the end.
