Exclamation 1992 BMW ACS AC Schnitzer -325IS FEELER (The Infamous Project)

Hey all,

Due to frustrations, time and potential moving logistics I am throwing up my 1992 ACS for potential sale to the right buyer. This car as some of you know was featured on a LIVE build I performed in early 2010 on my website www.theinfamousproject.com The car then placed Runner Up in its class at Performance World Custom Car Show at Toronto's International Center. Althought, not a TRUE ACS car, 90% of all ACS parts are authentic and it is very clean.

****The bad. My frustrations with this car is that it is not driveable above 2000rpm. There is some sort of chain lash noise that I have played around with too many parts to deal with and in the end I could just swap a new motor in much less time. The car does start, idle and drive below 2000 rpm in all gears. So depending on what you're looking for, you could bring it a shop and get it fixed or if you provide me a motor I can install it, or you can take it as is and do as you please. Secondly, the transmission does work in all gears fine, but when warm is hard to change gears (doesn't grind, just physically hard to get into gear)

Ideally, the new owner would source out an S52 motor/ ZF tranny and be on their way to happiness

The GOOD:

-1992 325IS body with 240k on it. No accidents. No rust.
-All ACS parts are genuine unless otherwise specified.

Goodies:

-M50 Vanos with unknown mileage at this point (Compression is good on all cylinders)
-S52 cams/lifters/trays
-Mark D Tuning
-UUC LTW flywheel
-UUC Underdrive Pullies
-UUC Short throw shifter
-BBK CAI
-Clutch fan delete
-Idler pulley delete
-AC delete
-Engine bay wire tuck
-3:91 LSD
-Oakville Motorwerks Custom 3" midpipe with race cat - Brand New Stainless
-ACS catback exhaust
-ODBII headers

Brakes/Suspension:

-UUC Braided Brake lines -New
-Brembo Cross Drilled Rotors
-Bendix Ceramic Pads
-Dot 5 brake fluid
-ABS delete
-PSS9 Coil overs -New
-Turner Motorsports 3 way adjustable sway bars front and rear -New
-Strut Tower Brace
-M3 Offset Control Arm bushings

Exterior:

-Straight White Paint (Freshly sprayed, no chips, no dents, no scratches)
-Custom Silver matched moldings/wheels
-ACS Front Fascia (replica/fiberglass)
-M3 Front lip retrofitted to the ACS bumper
-Custom Brake ducts for foglights
-ACS Side Skirts
-ACS Rear Bumper
-ACS Mirrors
-ACS molding badges
-ACS kidney grill badge
-ACS roundels front and rear
-ACS Type III wheels 18x9
-ACS Spoiler
-M3 Door moldings
-Clear taillights
-Projector Headlights w/ 6000k HID lows
-Smoked Corners
-White calipers

Interior:

-Black leather interior
-White door panel inserts
-White face gauges
-ACS Pedals
-ACS dash badge
-ACS steering wheel badge
-ACS floor mats
-ACS door sill plates (stainless EBay part)
-Leather front seats from e46 330 with all power options (mint)

Yes this car was on fire at one point. But it still carries a CLEAN Title. Plus its a great story to tell your friends. You can find my restoration thread on here somewhere. Everything has been replaced and is fully functional. There are no smells, no issues, nothing.

-$6500. AS-IS. Who knows maybe I will be famous one day and the car will be worth 65k! HAHAH

*** Please keep in mind that this is a feeler thread, so in other words, I am not looking for OFFERS below what I am asking. I am on the fence as to if I will just say "woo-sah" step back take a moment and correct the issue and drive the car, or if I will just sell it.

I have no idea what so ever! Shifts sweet when cold tho... Tried new fluid etc and no luck?! Maybe the synchros get heat affected?

So here's an update on the car... Swapped the motor/trans on Friday night. So everything on this car works and it drives amazing. Just did 400+ km's yesterday on the Opening Cruise and car didn't miss a beat! Pulls hard and runs great.

Updated-------
Goodies:

-M50 Non-Vanos (1992 year matching to the car)
-Dinan Chip
-TMS LTW flywheel
-UUC Underdrive Pullies
-UUC Short throw shifter
-BBK CAI
-Clutch fan delete
-Idler pulley delete
-AC delete
-Engine bay wire tuck
-3:91 LSD
-Oakville Motorwerks Custom 3" midpipe with race cat - Brand New Stainless
-ACS catback exhaust
-ODBII headers
-New plugs, fresh oil change and coolant flush

Price is now $8500. I am in no rush to sell the car as I am enjoying it but figured I would throw it out there!

BUMP $7500. Moving to Texas in 3 weeks... Just put 1000kms on the car this weekend all over GTA to Bufallo and back to Peterborough. Still got 28mpg with the 3:91.

I love what you'd done for this car. I used to live in peterborough long time ago,
May I stop by your shop for little tour?
