Doorlocks problem, searched but can't find solutions

Hi everyone,

The central lock button on my 4 door 2004 E46 stopped working. The remote works fine (both lock and unlock), I can pull the handles to unlock and open all of the doors, but just the central button is not working. I am seeing a lot of people complaining about GM5, but it looks like for that to be the issue, the locks should not be working period.

What do you guys think, anyone had any similar experiences?

Had this problem on my 04 330. What happens is that over time the bottom of the switch breaks apart so there is no contact made when you press the button. All I did to fix mine was remove the switch and use hot glue to hold it together then reinstall. Been working fine ever since.

You could also see if Tom (euroguy) or Fil (Eurostyle) has a switch in good shape. They both have had a few E46's lately.
