did they make a 328 in 2001?

I'm trying to run an insurance quote.

Client says he has a 2001 328i.

My quoting program has a list built in with data for all manufacturers & their models. I don't have a 328 option, only 325 and 330. (for years 2001-2006)

This guy is drunk, right?

Only 1999-2000 for the E46. 1996-1998 for the E36.

Just decode the VIN. The 10th digit indicates the year.
Y will be a 2000 model, 1 will be a 2001 model.

I didnt know that. So 2000 is last year of prodn for 328?

Im not interested in models newer than e46 so I wouldnt know. (The e9? models are nice but Im not feeling the shape of the rear end.)
