But I'm sure you can put it on a e36, not sure tho

does this fit an e36? if so, does it clear dj auto ellipsoid headlights, and headlight washers?

It might be dinan but at the end of the day its still a cf pipe with a filter on the end. Not even a heat shield setup which eliminates the chance of hydrolock

^^ I have a heat shield on the set up i'm running but I don't even know what hydrolock is

Hydrolock

The heat shield setup allows to draw cold air from the grille as would the stock intake. and placing the air filter by the cruise control module. this allows the filter to sit up top and still get cold air. other guys shove it down to the bottom of the bumper where you risk hydrolock. You can fudge your motor up if water from a puddle gets onto the filter and enough gets past it into the combustion chamber. When water enters the combustion chamber, it has a very hard time compressing as opposed to air... you can picture the rest at 6000 rpm....
