What replaced my M3.
Hello everyone, hope all is well.
Just some recent pics of my mk5 gti that replaced my boosted m3. I wanted to go in a completely different direction and as much as I loved my M3 it was time for something new..and turbo.
Its going lower when im properly back from England, and is also awaiting a stage 3 turbo upgrade from apr, with rods and watermeth, which will give it around 500hp from what is planed (much quicker then the m3 thats for sure lol)
The wheels are alphrads off a sl500 merc.......ya they fit pretty dope, stretch and poke for the win...stretching 215/40/18 on the rear which are 9.5 wide.
Unfortunately it is fwd, however I will be dropping a proper lsd in which will help. Anyways I love it thus far and have some pretty big plans.
Enjoy
-Neil.

car looks pretty good, love the stance, not too hot on the MB rims, but also wasn't too hot on the MK4 with the CSLs so my opinion might be void there. Cool car, the prices on MK5s now are really good.

lol fair enough.....i did love that car, but it was time for something new...i had it from stock and needed a new project..also it broke down daily lol. I saw the new owner driving it a couple days ago and did not even missed it...just seemed to outdated..and i never thought id say that about an e36 as i loved that shape the most..especially mine. but meh

Nice car! Just if you can, go with a TT setup not single to minimize your lag, especially with a small cube motor. Better yet, increase your ci with a stroker kit if you’re replacing your internals also if you can. Not only will this minimize your lag, it'll also help minimize your psi at a given power level. The more power you can make with the motor with a turbo setup, the better off you are. Take for instance my Vette build I completed last year. Went with the biggest motor I could go with reliably with boost with the Chev LS platform. Nothing like making over 800+rwhp with a paltry 15lbs of boost. One of my Vette aquantances has a boosted forged 346ci LS6 motor and had to go north of 20psi to hit the same power level.
Keep us posted. Gonna be a fun build.
