330ci 'Build' Thread - Bimmersport Sponsored

Well, its not so much of a build for Bimmersport considering the customers doing HPF S54 swaps lol! But I think its still a material amount of work! My intention is to eventually have a well balanced track/summer car, and instead of the going the FI route, I preferred being a bit slower now since I'm still relatively new to tracking...

I'll say this now, if this thread becomes a shop wars thread, I will request to have the according posts deleted. My intention is to share with everyone the quality of work and service that I experienced through Bimmersport. They're impeccable price quote allowed me to be able to do all the work I wanted done, this summer. (was planning on doing the work one piece at a time, but instead got an amazing deal) I must of called like a 100x getting suggestions about parts and stuff and they (Charlie/Jon) always spent considerable time to explain things in detail.

Anyways, here's a list of the parts to go on;

- Powerflex Poly FCABS
- Meyle RTABS,
- Ksport rear lower control arms
- Powerflex Poly subframe bushings
- Rogue RSM's
- Rogue tranny mounts
- M3 engine mounts
- Subframe Reinforcment
- Front sway bar endlinks
- 3.46 diff
- Ceramic coated Ebay Headers
- Magnaflow high flow cats
- Schrick 264/248 cams
- Active Autowerke tuned for according parts
- And and a proper alignment of course

Now the pics, here's what I started out with.. stay tuned for detailed pics of the subframe, exhaust and cam installations.

Subframe being sealed

They spray the car down with the stock sealant; you can barely see where the plates are. The subframe reinforcement came out much better than I expected; there are NO dents in the trunk or under the car (as you can see) from the process. The plates were well formed to the car

Quick pic of everything coming back together

Cats being installed in place of the stock resonators

Finished product, very happy with the way this turned out as well

Now the cams

All opened up

And that's where we're at now, cams should be installed sometime next week, along with the tune and alignment... and then test drives!
I'll be doing a dyno later on when everything settles. I dyno'ed the car last year before doing all this on a DynoDynamics and it put down near 190whp (reads about 15% lower than Dynojet) which I think is a good base!

Mods on the car when dyno'ed:
Dinan stage II tune
Dinan CAI
M5 clutch + 8.5 lbs flywheel
Eisenmann race catback
Beisan Vanos seal kit
19x9.5 and 19x8.5 rims (if that matters?)

so that's it for now, sorry to bore you, but I'm excited! stay tuned for more cam install pics (if Jon takes more )

Thanks for reading,
Mike

I really like this car.
Looks even better in person.
I'm going to be doing similar work to my E30 in a few weeks (rims, GC coilovers, new control arms and bushings all around, little bit of reinforcement) should be fun.... and quite stressful lol.

Update: cams are in, tune is done, alignment is done! I'm picking it up tomorrow!

Here's some pics of the cam install;

Pics of the vanos timing tool & gear being transferred to the new cams

Installed

Glad to see theres no sludge build up!

That's it! Thanks again Bimmersport, can't wait to pick up the car tomorrow. There was much attention to detail from the entire crew the whole way through that I've prob. failed to mention.

Hope these pics are enough proof of the quality of work being done here.

Next up, dyno!

-Michel

Took the car out for a drive yesterday and I'm blow away by how smooth it runs, much smoother than stock. It also sounds ridiculous! The guys for all of the great work and for being patient my brother's and my questions . See you soon

If you come to my house you can see it Other than that, I don't think it will be on the road this summer, if anything this fall when my policy expires I'll insure it and take my other car off the road, mainly because I don't want to pay like $4k per year to insure both cars.

Video won't do it justice, you need to hear it live! I can't even describe how it sounds; its that good lol!

Makes sense not to insure both steve, so all the work you mentioned above is being done on the n/a e30?

btw we dyno'ed last night at dynamotorsports, the car put down 225hp 224tq SAE corrected.. I think that's pretty good considering it put down 186-190(can't remember?) last year. It seems like Dyna Motorsports' dyno is pretty conservative after reading some of the numbers people were putting down last saturday, is this true?

Thanks again to Bimmersport, everything is PERFECT.
