bi-xenons in a e30.

So i put some euro grilles on today, and realized i really hate my stupid depo headlights with their stupid angel eyes (i disconnected them the day i got my car, but they're still ugly off).

Long story short, i'm going to do a bi-xenon projector retrofit in my e30.
http://www.absolutehid.ca/product_in...products_id=61

A) I'm going to try to gut my current depo's. I know i can't use sealed beams. Can i use NA projectors if i can't unglue the glass from the depo's?
B) As the lowbeams (outers) will now have both low and high (bi-xenon), what should i do with the inners? I saw someone put some black mesh over them and stuck a cone on driver side one. Any other ideas?

What do you guys think? I want the e21 look from my e30

Do the bi-xenon in the low beam spots, and leave the high beams alone. Better yet, get xenons in the highbeams for quad xenons. That would freaking amazing.

I know what i'm doing. Drinking scotch

Anyway, i thought about doing quad, but honestly, i dont need it. I have 35w 3000K fogs in the car, with another 55w per side of 4300K hid light, it will be plenty.

I'm mostly curious in suggestions as to what to do with the highbeam. Right now i'll either paint the whole highbeam headlight black, or, replace it with black mesh. I'm trying not to throw off the look of the car too much.

I've seen a guy who found speaker ports from ebay that fit the high beam hole perfectly, but having one on each side is pointless, I'd say.

but yeah both sides makes no sense

I like it too!

I dont know though, what should i run on the driver side, just a cone? This car gets driven very, very hard through very deep snow, i just dont think that's practical.

here's a neat idea get some grill from a parts car and trim it to work like this

Sort of makes the car look like an inbred VW though...

Why not just get a set of NA projector headlamps and put a Xenon kit in there, call it a day.

That bi-xenon lens thingy is probably pretty shit.

If you want to be a real baller, see if Acura TSX/TL lenses will fit in the NA projector lamps. They're supposed to have one of the best lenses in the industry (along with the S2000's) and pretty cheap to source.

The car currently has ellipsoids with HID's.
These lenses will SMOKE tsx projectors. (I gotta show people that, hence the retrofit). These are also 55w, so they output about 37% more lumens than a 35w ellipsoid/bulb/ballast.

Bullet_ride,

I actually really like how that looks (apparently i'm alone), but its just too much work. Plus i'd need to ship another set of euro grilles over. (or not? mabye i could modify my old ones. Hmm)
