NE1 change their suspension setup winter?

i'm considering getting in on the Tunerworks FK suspension group buy...if i do i intend to use the lowered suspension in the summer and put the stock parts back on in the winter (when i change to winter tires)

does anybody else actually do this?
what are the potential consequences?

if it matters i have a 1997 328is w/ stock sports suspension right now & 17" rims
