Yeah 15 is what it used to be way back when... 20 was so we could have lunch. Its now 30 because I believe they have to pay for the lot. In any case, there isn't any other cheaper AutoXs, I bet all the Casc Solosprint ones are more, and I know for fact the Porsche club AutoXs are 30 bucks as well.
I might have to start giving out sexual favours to prove it to some.

So I'm confused, did John say at the previous auto x that we would be free for one of the events at the next one? Or am I imagining things? And is this event open to non-members?

Sam

Yeah dude, this upcoming event is two events in one. And for us that went to Octobers AutoX, we get one of the two free.

The message that hits home...

A reminder, if an accident occurs, you are not only responsible for the damages to your car, you are also responsible for the damages to the property. This is a perfomance event and although we take every precaution to ensure everyones safety, accidents can happen.[/quote]

So true John. A reminder to those who know, and those who don't. Accidents can and do happen. There were two this year. Not only did I write my car off, but the property damage was around $4,000. Be careful and be prepared.

Unfortunately, I'll be in Ottawa this weekend, so I won't be able to make it out.

Have fun guys! I'll see you at the Christmas party.

I can't imagine how anal you would be if this was some national autox championship with a big prize. You girlies getting your panties in a bunch over what? A trillium trophy? Go buy one, it will make you feel better and be cheaper!

Here are the new wheels and brakes I put on the 2002tii:

rear:

front:

That wasn't my first choice of 15" wheels, but I didn't see any Alpina style available. Just thought I'd show you guys since I don't have a fake Rolex to show you.

I'm adding a turbo next year.

I would have bought the massive brakes from Lee, but I was not aware he was selling them until after the kit from Ireland Engineering had already arrived here.

I'm not going to build a really crazy turbo motor till later, I'm going to make a simple setup first so at least I'll be driving it while I develop a new engine management system for it. I am doing this in stages so I can have something to possibly sell as various kits. Stage one will be something that will have a single extra fuel injector controlled by a wideband. That's what will be on there next year. So you should easily beat me, as your motor is a fresh rebuild and mine was a complete rebuild in 1985. I've driven a lot on it since then. I'm hoping for around 400 hp when I rebuild this one and use the next stage of engine management.

Wow. That's awesome. Actually, I don't know how great my bottom end is as I didn't touch it. I figured I could touch 250 reliably for the time being, that's more than enough for me considering I am targeting for under 2300lbs total, wet.

Rudy you know I love you but I think you should let this go. I don't get where the danger or disadvantage is. If you think R comps won't work, no one says you have to use them. If you think the grip level will be much lower, then go slower. Would you expect to drive the same way in a blizzard as you would on a sunny June day? I know you're thinking, why are you telling me the obvious, douche? Well then you should re-evaluate your argument for John. If you're concerned about another crash, then consider that at least with lower grip, it will be a slower crash...

Umm I did let it go dude, now you guys are pushing it again. What was needed to be said was said, and that's all there is to it. I gave my 2 cents and that was that.

I don't mean to barge in, but you had me in knots with that one! It was really overboard. I almost keeled over. I think you should chart a different course next time, just for the hull of it.

I've got a whole raft of em...all bad, guess I'm sinking fast. Somebody bail me out!

PS: I heard that 740-ill would have become a sailor but he didn't want to make waves.
