Hey Mark, I hope all is as well as can be. Nonlocal said it best in my opinion.
If you need anything to help get you car back on the road, and back at the autocross, the whole bmw community is here to help you out however we can. Just let us know what you need.

John

Important part is Mark is ok, pride might be bruised a little but this is what can happen when we push our cars to the limits, and thankfully he is smart enough to do it in a controlled event and not on the street where others could have been involved.

Hopefully the frame rails are strait, the A pillers seemed ok so should be repairable

I'm sure it will be back better then ever before you know it. Rough end to an otherwise wicked day, again cars can be fixed or replaced, people can't and glad Mark is ok, looking forward to a good rebuild thread and seeing you back out!!

Speaking of which, how many people did Randy and John nearly take out in the timing gate.

NONE, both of them were over 50ft away from anyone. Seriously why would you say something like that, the autocross racing is a respectable fourm of racing where we get to push our cars to their handling limits, legaly.

What you said makes it sound like its unsafe, and reckless, which couldn't be farther from the truth!

This is motorsports racing and we take the risks, like a contact sport, this ain't soccer!!!!

Great event Jon and Rich! Haven't auto-x'ed in years and nor with the 330i. It's pretty darn fun I must say.

Would you happen to know any of the photographers at today's event? i want to know if anyone got a pic of my car

Vids will be posted hopefully later this week when I settle down and find some time.

Dude, glad you enjoyed yourself, I was a waste case today, moved on saturday, and barley slept, but the events have become so much fun and the courses are fast an challanging, I wouldn't miss it for anything!!

Looking forward to you pics and vids, heard some good things about your camera skills, and shit you were driving wicked too!!!

Hopefully i'll be feeling better for the June event, have to get a ride in your car when you get the new tires!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. The security guy came over after most people left, and I gave him all my info. Also, I had to go to a reporting station to make a report. Looks like it was an expensive day

Great event (except for Mark's incident)... on that note, can someone fill the rest of us in with info on what happened? I see yellow paint on the damage.. was it during the last run, or fun runs? Which post? The one after the building-corner, on the return run?

It was the fun run, the gate after the first corner. Rear end went sideways, then I went forward into the fence protecting that tank.

Can anyone recommend a cheap shop in the GTA to get me going? My buddy is saying Martino Bros. I've had this car for 10 years. Really want to save her, but can't afford a whole lot right now.

Strip what ever you can yourself off the front, ie hood and bumper, pull the rad, and get a good look. There are various ways you can measure the front end up and see how close you are.

you'll feel alot better with the damaged peices off the car, and if you don't do it yourself and bring it somewhere, they can't make you feel bad about it!

Shoutouts to the E30 guys, we all went really quick yesterday, representing the chassis well against the newer and more capable machinery there!

Thanks Mike for propping the camera on my car for a run, I hope it turns out well! Good driving too BTW, forgot to mention, you looked super smooth out on course.

Mark, hope you get the car going soon... If you get the frame rail pulled out, the rest should be piece of cake for you to do yourself so you save a bit of coin. We've all been there once before, shit happens man. Everything works out in the end.

Had my car towed to my parents' farm to work on as time and money permits. Looks like the frame is ok. Front crossmember is a little bent. Hoping to do the work myself, but it's going to take me a while.
