15 years and older, the car is exempt from RIV requirements ie, does not need to be manufactured to Canadian safety standards. 15 years and younger must be made to meet Canadian/US safety standards.

This will give you everything you need to know or at least the majority of it.

if you want an evo wait one more year, or fing a 96 car with early production, that way it will be exempt.

What's the difference between the canadian and German standards? Is there alot that needs to be done in order to manufacture the car to canadian standards?

Is the 96 thae same as the 97-99 model? I wanted to get the EVO M3 with 320hp, not the 280hp one.

I call that an Evo wagon.

Unless ///eP was referring to the M3 evolution, then yeah there's no such thing.

Learn to read, the OP said EVO M3 in his post.
Plus your on a BMW forum, when you say evo no one is going to assume you talking about a Mitsubishi unless you state that.

Yeah, sorry about that, you guys are right, my bad. I saw the last post and thought of the Mitsubishi evo wagon because I saw a RHD one in Kitchener recently... wasn't thinking, 10 hours of studying for exams will do that to you

the 96+ evo cars in europe are all evo's (321HP) Rembember, import exemptions are from the manufacture date (not in-service date) so the build date on the car + 15 years is when its (easily) admissable.

There are some really hot cars on www.mobile.de right now.
