how do i use an ipod?



how do i use an ipod? I just got one... but i dont want to install all that i-tunes crap.

I want to watch movies on it..... does it play divx? or do i gotta use ituns to convert shit?

I need help.

You have to install itunes (you dont have to, but you should.)

Yes, you have to convert it to a portable .mp4 format.

if i use ituns, is there a way to use it without connecting it to the internet?
can i put mp3s on it without itunes?

you dont need internet access for itunes.

You can, there's software other than itunes which will do it, but none does it as well.

Download itunes, it takes about 2 min. do the instal , when it asks if you want it to find all the music on your computer click yes, plug in ipod and drop music onto it.

seems like rockbox isn't stable with 30gb ipod that plays video as well.
