Even thou the Falken 912s are listed as an all-season tire, i would consider them a summer only tire in Canada. They are not meant for snow.

That said they are a decent summer tire, only downside is tire-life although it was better than UHP tires. They have great grip, smooth ride, very quiet and they are awesome in the rain, just don't expect them to be track tires.

+1 for Allen at simply tires, I told Jay about them a few years ago. I've bought several sets of tires from them since then. They have great service, most recently i was in and out in 30mins, no waiting, with an appointment of course.

OP: You haven't mentioned anything about your driving style or habits, or wat you are looking for in a tire performance wise. Do you also plan to track or autox? recommending a tire without that is pretty useless if it doesn't serve your purpose. Don't buy tires based on price.

I went with 912s for summer tires because i plan to use something else when on the track, my 912s on 18s are for cruising DD type driving.

I'm getting 912's installed today. I don't really track my car yet and I'm gonna get a whole different wheel/tire setup for when I do.

My driving is mostly day to day type stuff with a bit of free spirited driving here and there.

I used to have General UHP's and was happy with those until one went KABOOOOOOOOOM! on the highway when I was doing about 135km/h. Luckily it didn't lose air quickly and I was able to pull over before my rim got messed up.

Wow, I'm completely in love with these Falken's. They're so quiet, grip very well and they're great in the wet too. Big thanks to Allen at SimplyTire. Amazing service and quick as well.

I would recommend Tires23 if locally as they gave me a competitive price, but currently not happy with their logistics. I ordered my tires almost two weeks ago (Bridgestone RE11s with deposit) and they're still not here.

They initially told me it would take a week. I called a week later (on Wed) and they said Friday. I called Friday and they told me there's a delay so either Mon/Tues. I called today and he's telling me they're for some reason stuck in customs, but they should receive it end of today. I'm pretty upset as I had to use my non-track rims/tires for the past autocross and I got Mosport coming up this weekend. I always thought tire shops would source their tires from a local warehouse, but I'm thinking Tires23 gets their tires from Tire Rack.

This is my first time dealing with them, so not getting a good impression from them.

Hmm, I will have to give Simply Tire a call.

looking for 245/40/20 fronts and 275 or 285/40/20 for the rears.

Driving style: Heavy foot taking off from lights , spirited driving and then of course as a DD.

Tires will be going on Alpina Softlines, any recommendations on brand and type?

Cheers
