Can I haz linky for some charts or something I can look at?
I don't really care what I'm in, I just need to know what to tell the dude at Auto-X when I arrive. Can I just plead the fifth and say put me in whatever class you like?

At your first event, you need to have the registration form filled out for mod points and the self-tech form. Base car classing is in the second post.
All registration is now done online through Karelo, so make sure you do that since they don't allow walk ups anymore

Registration for 14th open:
http://www.mco.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11872
And I'm registered. I TOTALLY read the wrong documents on classes, etc. I guess I read Solo I stuff. I'm base D with 37 (!!) points. Does that make me B? (15 to C, 15 to B with 7 left over?)

Congrats on winning your class last week BTW Shawn, I was just checking out the results. I'll be very uncompetitive in B class this coming Saturday. My goal (and my measure of success) will be to finish each run, no DNFs. As I learn the car's balance down low like this low, a spin-out might happen, so I'll have to go very easy on it.
Who else is in?

Thanks man It turned out to be an awesome day - you are correct in your classing - B-class for you! There's some VERY stiff competition in that class, but as long as you have fun, that's what matters.
Just got back from Nationals in St-Eustache - lots of bimmers from ottawa did great: Klaus came third in DMOD, Ralph (service manager from Canadian Tire Carling) finished first in DMOD in his E30 325i, Phil came first in his E30 325i (from MCO) in DSP, and I finished right behind him in DSP - 2nd place. It was an awesome weekend and the track was phenomenal. VERY high speed!

Thanks!
I've got a bunch of videos to edit, but I'm hoping they'll be up by the end of the week.

I did actually it's my first time trying this ever, so we'll see how it goes. I tried to do something a bit trickier with some tight sections, as well as some open sections - i didn't want it to favour any specific car. The commitee did make a few changes, and I'm sure it will get tweaked a bit more during setup, but it should be fun!

lol - after i was done the course I looked back on it and realized it would probably put me at a disadvantage in a few sections, so you may not be the only one wiping out

Sweet! If time / logistics permit, I'd like a ride along with you at some point during the day.

definitely! Come see me and we'll try to sort something out. If you can, get a low number so that you aren't running right before/after me, and you're done your marshalling by the time I run. I'm number 915 (usually 2nd last car), so I'm guessing something between 50-150 should be fine.

Also, I'm looking for magnetic numbers, or a magnetic sheet / magnetic vent covers to make a number plate, instead of tape. Any ideas?
