So are you guys as anxious as i am to get back behind a wheel at the track?
Some of you might be aware, but others may not, that MCO organizes a bunch of winter events. They're all held at an ice track at Capital City Speedway.
There's a winter snowcross series, which is basically the same as the summer snowcross, other than the fact that if you go off track, you're in a snowbank. You see a lot of street-driven cars out there, but also many "beaters" that can be stored at the track during the race season, so they don't need to be plated/insured. Personnally, I'm driving a 1993 ford festiva with all of 63HP, it's a hilarious good time.
The other series is a wheel-to-wheel ice race series. This has about 15 cars on the track at the same time and they are split into 3 classes (FWD, RWD, AWD). For this, no cars with street insurance are allowed. MCO is hosting 3 events, and they're 1.5 hour enduro-style races with a recommended 3 drivers (for teams with less than 3, they will incur lap penalties). For this, i'm racing a subaru legacy wagon.
