I dont understand why the brace was not ON during the stage! Maybe it would have helped!
P.S, i didnt read the article, sorry if i missed anything!

Speaking of Targa Newfie, an Ottawa E30 won the GT class last year. Looked very stock. Do want to try that.

i can't find what class he raced in, and the results for whatever class he raced in aren't on the wrc website. but nonetheless its pretty cool

I believe he raced in the "Rally America" class. Somebody posted some links to pdfs of results in his class in the comments of the Jalopnik article; they were from the Rally of Mexico website, not WRC. And they were in Spanish.

Targa Newfoundland
We will be returning to Targa Newfoundland this Sept 2010 in a S50B32 E30 M3
We competed in 2008 and finished 2nd in GT class in a 1991 M5 (we were 14sec behind the winner, a new Lotus Elise).

It is the motoring adventure of a lifetime! Nowhere else in North America will they close public roads and cheer as you drive like a lunatic as fast as you can. I can't recommend it enough !!
