Thinking of buying an offroader...opinions?

I have started doing more and more offroading (glaciers etc) and i am thinking of buying a proper offroader for this so i can do it on my own more frequently instead of just going with friends.
I have looked into it and the best option is a Land Cruiser 80.
I have found this one and i am thinking of buying it. What do you guys think?

Car had a new transmision and turbo 30.000km ago. New-ish 44inch tyres and comes with a winch that can be placed both front and rear (detachable).
Heating for when parked over the night, and all diffs are upgrated. Milaege is high but engine was completely rebuild 2 years ago.
It was build by the same guys that build the hilux used on the Top Gear show when they went to the north pole(Arctic Trucks)
Assuming the bank manager approves (the wife that is) i am pretty tempted!

They arent the first choice here but yeah they do come in 44 inch and at a decent price.
Here are some pics.
I was told 44inch is good for snow and still good for road.

this particular one is at 5.5 milion Kronars.
I guess with todays exchange it is about 44000 CAD
If i was to buy a standard car and do the same though you would be looking at over double that!

You started driving on glaciers and wanna spend 44k on an oldass LC to do it with? Wow ahha, you must love this hobby. I dunno man rig seems a tad like.... over built, like you wouldnt really use it much to it's full potential. I couldn't justify something like that unless I drove on glaciers every night.

Did you know the glaciers are melting? Just tossing it out there... after this summer you won't have many glaciers left to drive on.

Well we have an F350 lifted but i need at least 38inch tyres to get on the glaciers.
I was thinking of selling that and buy this. That way i save some money plus have better potential for offroading.
44 inch is a good comprimise for both driving on glaciers and not costing a silly amount of money to replace(i think the legal limit is 36 inch here)
This is a video of a typical ride on a glacier:

and these are in good conditions plus you need to cross rivers and stuff. So the car is build for that. Wouldnt call it over build.
You have to remember the tires are almost completely deflated when driving on snow so they spread out. Hence why the baloon tyres!
