I purchased a 2004 BMW X3 for a family relative not to long ago, I would definitely recommend it.
Overall, I think it is very spacious,
easily fit 2 adults in the back, with a big enough boot to fit a couple of strollers, and some kid bikes if you stack em
The one i purchased is a 2.5L, I guess it shares the same drive train as the E46 325, with the 330XI components. It corners and handles like a sedan, does not drive like a sloppy SUV. Ride height is great. 12.5L/100KMS average fuel consumption. Pretty reliable so far.
I like it
