e36 guys with style 5s

I'm test fitting a set a style 5s that I just picked up.

It seems like its poking out way too much in the rear.

Here's what I have in the rear:

17x9 22 offset w/ 215/40/17 tires and stock drop.

Whoa, your car wasn't that high when I saw it last week. Did you take the pic right after jacking it up and down?

The style 5's look good on your M3... Any rubbing with the 215s?

You have the staggered setup, which most don't. To get those to work without rubbing, you have to pull the fender lips outward (very aggressive fender roll). Your paint will likely crack, just a warning.

The regular 8" wide rears fit without any work, but to get the 9s...different story.

I have the exact setup. 17x9 in the rear. The only way I could make these work was with rolled fenders (no pulled) and a 205/40/17.

You'll need to get some very stiff suspension. I'm running 650 lb springs in the back and I still rub...RIM.

Have fun

LOL yeah, I should mention that too. If you don't pull your fenders it's not just tire rub you'll deal with...it's rim rub. I had a yellow time attack stripe on both of my just-polished rear lips the first day I had the car out without fender work.

Yeah, I parked on Bloor and Wellington - I was in Yorkville checking out the gumball cars for a bit.
