point and shoot HDR... first time playing around with it...

yea, I know a lot photography people don't like HDR, but I think it's cool if not too extreme...

all I have is a point and shoot right now (DSLR sometime in the future though) and I really don't take a lot of pics... just kinda playing around...

HDR can be super useful at times no matter what some people might say -- if you have a shot that has extremes of bright and dark areas HDR is the only way to properly capture it. Some people do take it to extremes, but it's still art after all, each to their own I personally prefer photos that look like photos, not cartoon drawings

Hell no lol... I just didn't see the point in having another monitor horizontally mounted. It's nice to be able to move over some windows and expand them length wise, be it win explorer, winamp, or the browser for certain sites.

Take a little getting used to but I've become accustomed to the setup and it works well

Yup, I know HDR is a very touchy subject, I personally like the way most HDR shots look, even the extreme ones. Although I don't see myself doing a lot of HDR (or at least extreme ones) it's always interested me in how you can drastically change the pictures.

Yep HDR is pretty neat, there's a ton of stuff you can do with it.

I don't mind some of the extreme ones ... when they are done artistically and actually enhance the image ... but as with other things some people just do it because they can and rely on the "cool" factor to make the image something better than it is.

A crappy picture is a crappy picture, no matter how much time you spend processing it
