Koni Reds!?!?!

I need to change my shocks and i am getting a good deal on KONI Reds. I was wondering how these are for a 328is and if any one here has them installed. Pls comment on stiffness level and how they feel over all.

reds are a very mild step above OE. I didn't even know they made them for BMWs

the red are the same as the yellows.. the only thing that differs is that the reds are internal adjustment and the yellows are external adjustment.

funny thing though... in my e30 i have yellows but the rears are internal adjustment like the reds.

Thx for the replies. If not these, then i was considering getting bilstein HDs or Sports. Could any one tell me whats the difference is between them and which ones would be better as i plan on using my stock springs from the sport suspension the car orignally comes with. I did my research on HDs vs Sports but there is a lot of mixed information on them. Im pretty sure ppl have these installed on their e36s and i wanted to know how stiff the ride would be. My goal is to get the ride stiffer than factory but still good enough for daily driving. Also, i plan on changing the springs and lowering the car later on in the future so pls consider that in ur comments.

Bilstein sport and hd shocks have the same valving, it's just that the HDs are meant for running stock ride height springs while the sports are meant for running lowering springs.

Yes.

From what I've read the only difference between the two is that the internal bump stop on the sports is shorter so that the car can sit lower with out bottoming out the shock

this is a hard decision.. what if i buy HDs and change the springs later on.. would that be an issue since HD r for stock ride height??

you risk bottoming on the bump stops unless you put really stiff springs... which will ruin the ride characteristics.

any other alternatives instead of bilsteins for replacing shocks now and doing springs later without worrying about this bottoming out issue???

I also got Bilstein HD on my car with factory sport springs and the ride is just stiff enough for everyday driving and a nice feel. I don't think you will have a problem even if you lower the car with a mild drop unless you really want to go low and slam it then i would say get the Bilstein Sports

Koni yellows is a pretty good choice.
