Rich will I have to paint it or will it be some sort of carbon look to it? You know I think I answered my own question typing that, as anything other than body colour would look ghey. Maybe a light black so it looks tinted?

Basically I'm trying to avoid painting mine but want to rid the rust.....

How much we talking here? $100, $200...????

$500 or so would be a reasonable price for a quality fit piece.

I think you're more on the $500-$600 end than the $100 - $200 end of the spectrum.

i'm sure that the price could be closer to the $300 mark.. i've seen fitted cf hoods from $600 to $800

being that the sunroof panel is about 1/4 the size of the hood i can't see it costing as much.

just my 2cents.. i'm still interested in the outcome

Still, even if the size is different, labour to put that sucker together is just as much, if not more, as I'm betting it will be made in two pieces and have to be sandwiched together afterward, just like a hood. I wouldn't doubt it to be over $500 either.

I still don't get how the inner panel with work with the sunroof interior clipping on. Those clips are bastards to take off, the force of those would create a problem when installing and/or removing the lid.

Not all that easy! The main panel will be one part, they you need to install the mounting tabs, and mounting section for roof liner. All that will have to be done by hand, making it very time consuming. And we all know time=$$$, so a price tag of $500 up is very likely.

If this was around 300$ give or take I'd be in. I'd be more interested in stainless actually, sure it's not light, but can be made thinner to be comparable to stock. and never rust + way stronger.

Plus I'll take stainless fenders, rockers, and wheel wells. Oh and tail plate.

Buy a Delorean. I don't think a stronger sunroof panel will improve the car's rigidity.

Switching from a metal to a CF sunroof is like removing a cement brick above your head. It is one of the few places that CF might actually make a performance difference, since the weight is so high up. I always LOL at CF pieces that replace things that are already light, like a $1500 CF airbox to replace the 2lbs plastic one for S14s. It makes no sense!!
