Where should I get my tranny swap done?
how much will it roughly cost?

and/or

should I buy a parts car, and just do it myself?

I'm almost done mine ... I have MANY hours into it and even more beer. I may finally fire it up this weekend if the mood and weather allows. Instead of changing just the tranny I replaced the engine while I was at it. I can see it being easy after doing this one.

I don't know if buying a parts car makes sense. I'd just buy the parts from one of the members here (some will include every nut and bolt) and do it this way. That's what I did anyway.

Good luck if you do!
