This game ame outcome vs U.S doesnt really matter. That game was all about bragging rights,
which USA wanted more... since they are an arrogant, greedy and selfish country.
Plus they wanted to win 1 for Burkie...
Canada will still win Gold after they kill Germany and squeek out a win vs Russia.

I thought by losing in the Quarters that they are now out of contention for Gold, and playing qualifiers for Bronze?

If Canada would have won yesterday they would have gotten a buy into the quarterfinals. Since they lost they now need to play one more game. If they loose the next game they are toast.

negative - the should have a pretty easy time with the Germans and one hell of a time with the Russians thereafter.
I don't understand, based on the line-up of players Canada should have outplayed USA without much trouble, but they got their sacks stomped on harder than some poor schmuck by his female Russian dominatrix Igor.
I see Canada doing bronze at best if they don't pull their shit together
