Fake Wheels list
Not sure if this is repost but funny regardless.
Wow, I knew Rota ripped off lots of designs but never totalled it up..oh snap. Ther is also a Work Wheels article in there that put knock-offs of their prodcut though the same tests 2 passed & 2 failed!

I've seen those fake TE37s in bronze on a local black 350Z! The look on his face was priceless when he saw my authentic LEs on a European car, bahahah!

Rota's have JWL specification, I wonder if that's the wheel they tested.

it's easy to have JWL specification. but TUV certification requires the factory to have a whole new section on its on just for testing for TUV german certification.

You have any documentation to back that up? Sure they may have a JWL embossed on the casting but that is fake as their designs. I doubt 50% of JWL certified wheels fail. Personal choice I guess I run Axis on the 7 but they are 20s and they are forged... They are an original design too.
But for the Skyline genuine forged wheels only it creates waaaay to many Gs to gamble with fakes.

^^^^yeah dave. That's one of the reasons BSA went under bc they stamped jwl on alot of their wheels when in fact they failed. And there was a big lawsuit and they ended up going bankrupt. Well at least that's what I was told.

Well, they can't have the certification on the wheel if they put the embossing on there. I mean, I guess they can forge it, but I don't think that a multi-million dollar company would risk going under because of forged certification for the few percent of buyers who know what JWL is. Their designs are ripped off, but that doesn't mean they have fake certification
That being said, if there's a loophole where you only need one set of wheels to pass and its only tested once ever, then I can see how the certification doesn't mean much. I'm sure TUV is tougher.
