Dado .. did you cut the muffler yet? I got my tips on the way.. cant wait to do this.. got magnaflow tips one in two 3" out.

I went to Magnaflow official site.. Looked at the tips and decided to go with this one. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=8374

Went to my exhaust shop and just tell him the part number.. He said i will have them in 3 days.. So im getting all the pieces together..

Looks like the Magnaflow inlet pipe is 2.25 inches. Is your guy gonna try a try and expand it?
I'm not sure if that diameter is gonna cause any pressure build up. Look into it.

He told me.. he will make adapter from 2.75 - 2.25.. im not to sure if it will cause any pressure build up or not. i will ask him..

Hustler thank you for the pics.. Looks good. I cant wait to get mine all done .. With this weather this weekend i was close rolling the car out .. Any idea what caused CPS issue?

I had a CEL (P0340) that made me want to put a new one in. I did that and now it runs worse. I did try the original sensor again, and that didn't help either. On a '98 540i there only seems to be one in all the diagrams and manuals, am I missing something?

The sound is a lot better with this setup - its quieter than just shopping the pipes off, but not much, and it sounds a lot smoother and more refined.

Happy to hear you enjoy the sound of new setup... I'm no to sure re: P0340, never had experience with that so i cant help or give you a suggestion... Hope other members will help with this issue.
Keep us posted when you resolve the problem ... this will be a learning experience for all of us..

My exhaust shop called me today my muffler tips are in.. I ask them regarding 2.25 intel on the tip. They said they will expand as close as possible to 2.75.

Yes as soon as i get the ride out from the storage i will document everything and will post the pics.. I'm shooting for the beginning of April.. So hope the weather will stay the way it is

.. welll I ordered front "M" not the rear.. so i have to figure out if i will cut in to my stock bumper.. or just go under stock setup..
