My father is a Periodontist.
They aren't cheap, but the best solution to your problem, its also only the real proper long term solution.
I would recommend having a Periodontist do the work, a lot of dentist and oral surgeons do it now, but its really work for perio specialty.
If you need to have a consult, PM me, and I can give you my dad's info. He has offices everywhere.

A lot of them that because the titanium screw needs a proper base.
If you need a consult, let me know.
Who gave you the quote?

I paid $2500 for mine; its been 3 years now roughly. But that was just the implant. There was other work done which made it close to $3800~$4000. It's the tooth right beside my canine on my upper jaw (lateral incisor).
Breakdown:
- they first did surgery and installed the base of the implant
- after 4-5 months it healed and fused with my jaw and they installed the post
- after another 3 months of it healing they installed the crown
- they had me come in for two post visits to see how it was healing, discoloration and minor enamel treatment (jaw on lower tooth would hit it)
It was painless, if you have any other questions let me know.
Like stalker said, get a periodontist. Mine was downtown Brampton on Queen Street near the Dairy Queen.

I got mine done at my dentist 4 years ago. Costed about $3500, if I remember correctly. Make sure you get your teeth whitened before you get it, so that they can color match it as white as possible

got the quote from my dentist and orthodontist. had an impacted tooth that needed to get taken out. bone needed to get removed to take out the tooth so now to get an implant they need to put in fake bone or whatever to install the tooth.
not going to worry about it since i still have a brace on 2 teeth holding the gap open.

The method given to me was that they would graft bone from my thigh.
I still need 1 or 2 more implants done but because of the cost, I've been pushing them back. Both require extensive grafting as the bone structure there has deteriorated a lot since there is no tooth there to support.

I would get a second opinion.

Does he have an office in Adam Giambrone's office?
WHat good are offices everywhere? He can't be in all those offices at once.

$8000 for one tooth? That seems very high. I think mine is around 3300 for the one behind the canine, with bone "graft" included. I'll have to check the exact price as it's not complete yet, but it's under 4K and that's for the periodontist to remove the old root, prepare and install the implant, and my dentist will install the crown. Right now I'm waiting for the bone to regenerate around the titanium implant, a few more months to go.

They don't usually take bone from you but it is an option. They usually use powdered bone from dead animals or people.
There is some info on this here: http://www.colgate.com/app/Colgate/U...mentation.cvsp
