I don't think it will affect the ride too much. I'm more worried about finding the right spacers and longer hardened bolts, as well as how well it would all hold. I really would recommend the proper offset for you car, I wouldn't want to give fellow members any un-forseen problems. Besides I wish i could have your offset, I'd love to have a 3" lip on my rims.
