Okay thanks for the info. I've just never owned a car that revved that high during highway driving so I found it odd.

no problem. i also missed your mileage question. with city driving only...i can get ~550km until the light comes on...so probably ~620km if i were to run it try. with highway driving i can get it past 700 for sure. again, tho...smaller engine may burn less, but at highway speeds it needs to rev higher so the difference might not be as drastic.

Ahaha,. I want to get an E36 M3 sedan next year. Haven't entirely given up the RX-7 thing yet, but absolutely moving on from the FCs.

My 318is revs around 3500 on the highway. It seemed odd to me as well, but I decided it was normal, because it's a smaller engine, and e36's are fairly heavy. I can also get about 650km on a tank of mixed city and highway driving.

Meh, I don't regret going BMW. Besides, I find every aspect of the car more "exciting" compared to an EG.

Well for the money you couldve got nicer ek.

I got the car pretty damn cheap. I'm not looking to race the thing anyway, just needed a good daily driver for the time being. That and I prefer RWD.

Im just giving you a hard time, though mostly what ive said is true.
I can see the preference for rwd, for sure. As long as its somewhat reliable(for an old car) than thats all that really matters.
