Crossing over
Finally crossed the barrier of 200,000 kms the other day. And what happens? Check engine light. Perhaps it's trying to tell me something?

Yeah, that's where my big wave of problems started. It only took another 50,000km for them to get ironed out  , so I should be good for another 50k until the 300k wave hits

I looked up the schedule:
Wave 7 - 200,000 kilometres
Wave 8, 9, 10, 11 - optionally every 6100 kilometres
Wave 12 - 255,000 kilometres

I don't know what all the mystery is about. My high-mileage 540i lets me know when it needs parts - like when I drive it hard the fan grenades, or turn-in while braking the front bushings remind me it's their service interval, or the self tapping screws holding the rear windows up on their tracks, or the high number of structural zip ties in the lights & underbody shields, or ...
I'm going to stop there, I'm getting sad.
