So my cams are advanced.

Had a friend at a friends shop today haha.

Anyways, we did a few checks with the carsoft. And it turns out my cams are 2 degrees advanced. They have been since I picked up the car. Idle is perfect, runs like a dream.

I just wanted an expert to chirp in here on whats happening, expecially because my M52 (2.8) is putting out 240hp with an M50 manifold, fan delete, intake, exhaust and some other small mods.

It's always seemed like a freak motor to me and now I think I know why!

Also, the cams being advanced is throw a vanos error.

advanced cams? i think thats early warning to engine detonation, better pawn the car off on someone quick, dump it cheap before she pops... your a good dude, so despite the obvious major issues here, ill be a good guy and take it off your hands for you

in all seriousness, what other info do you have, do you know what the air/fuel is ? we advanced my friend andys car and it seemed pretty good, tuned the mix and it was amazing. ( i dont know how to tune the mix, it was done via computer, some honda program, but it worked like a charm) what software are you currently running ?

is hte dinan just a standard stock replacement? if so id consider tuning appropriate to your application, being as your no longer stock OBDII if you know what i mean (new AA pipe) you could very well benefit from removing those factors.
we were talking yesterday about back pressure, i looked into it last night couldnt find much info on, perhaps thats something worth looking into, i know you have a nice exhaust but maybe some headers would help things breathe a bit better while maintaining required back pressure.
is it you or will with the s52 cams ?
