Hey Sonspot,
Yes a helmet is mandatory, if you don't have one, the club rents them out for the day for very little money, $10/day I think. It is an all day event 8am-5pm. The $50 discount only applies to the ADS's at Mosport Grand Prix track or Shannonville with the full two day curriculum. So, it is $150 + GST for the day. Steve Gailits at Bavarian offers free tech inspections to Trillium members. His shop is located on Woodbine just south of the 407. In terms of length, I don't have that info ready at hand, but it's approx 3 km in the configuration we use.
Cheers
John

thanks for the reply, am thinking about signing up for two events, am coming from windsor so the drive alone is a downer, i can stay at my friend in sauga but its still a long drive to the track, guess i'll have to work something out; trying to save some cash somewhere guess i'll have to see how much a indy shop charge for the inspection..

There is the inspection form on their website too in case you need a guideline to follow on what needs to be checked out.

As I mentioned in the first post, prices were tentative and approximate. I have official pricing set forth:
Mosport DDT on April 25th $180.00 + tax 5% GST only
Mosport GP on May 1,2 $430.00 + tax 5% GST only
Shannonville on June 26, 27 $350.00 + tax 5% GST only
Mosport GP on Sept 11, 12 $430.00 + tax 13% harmonized sales tax
If you know for sure you want to come to our Sept GP school, register BEFORE July 1st and pay only the 5% GST. Thats when the wonderful HST becomes active.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to email me at john_venditti@hotmail.com
Cheers!!!

a bit off-topic, but how come there's no driving school for June this year at Mosport GP? Why is it at Shannonville this year instead?

Steve Gailits from Bavarian is providing free inspections for anyone attending a Trillium Driving School. In regards to the helmets, they cost over $300 each and are only rented 6 times before being retired. I'm still working on getting that price down. I'll let you all know soon.

Just to clear things up, Helmets are $25 a day, if that more then you wish to spend this would be a good time looking into borrowing a helemt from someone to use for the day. There are always options to save money, we can't provide everything for everyone.
John and I have been pushing hard as volunteers to get a entry level one day school going in the club, and make it as affordable for people to experience their first school. We are un paid in our efforts, and we to pay for the schools, maintain our cars, have to do the same tech inspection, ect, ect.
