I'm debating between the 9700 and 3GS as well. Tough call. Each excels in many areas and is deficient in others.

I had 2 iphones...now I use a BB 9700...just keep the iphone to use a backup, or ipod.
Although both phones have great productivity, the BB is way better IMO now especially since "APP world" is out!
Not to mention theres a maxgroup for BBM

They don't call my phone "smart", but it only costs me $35/month, huh...

Wow an N97 nice, i'm surprised you upgraded!
I'm not surprised your sticking with Nokia thou.
I'm holding off until they announce what Apple is doing with the new iPhone. Then i'll decide if i want to switch to BB or not.

Thanks Trev. I actually got it used for a ridiculously low price. From the texts (and photos!) the 17 y/o high school girl left in the phone, she got it in July. And no I'm not posting the pics, lol.
Love the phone so far, I didn't even know it had an FM transmitter until after I bought it. I now have 32gb of music for the beater, which is pretty badass.
