FTA? Still Working? Latest Sites.

Been awhile since I've been in the FTA game? Are they even still working? BEV or Dishnet? What are the latest sites to go to for info?

Thanks.

Hey V Bimmer, are you up? Me and my buddies have all been down since BEV switched to nagara 3. One of the guys in the group used to hook us up with scripts, but he said there hasn't been a fix released yet.

there are no fixes for Dishnet or BEV since they switched to nagara 3. just have to wait till someone cracks N3.

Over the air antenna is the way to go if your looking for optimal quality and basic programming (all for free).. its legal and it works.. Im in Oakville and I catch every channel in Toronto / Buffalo with an outdoor antenna.

Its better then paying for basic cable or cable in general.. I get all the channels on this site

http://overtheair.saveandreplay.com/...oronto_GTA.asp

the only channels i dont get from this list is 51-1, 51-2, 51-3, 51-4..

all it cost me was $54.99 for the antenna. Better picture then cable or satellite.

ya i just spent the past 1.5hr reading up on N3's and stuff, apparently N3's came out early to mid '09...and now all of them are using N3's.

blah my dad bought the kbox and only worked for a month..this is the second receiver in 1 yr!!!..and the guy scammed him..into buying a router package and everything..shudve asked me before buying it..

i don't think we'll be buying another receiver. this is plainly a cat and mouse game. and the coders and us will always lose and shell out more $$ for a new receiver...

I've heard a lot of good things about OTA. I agree, for the channels you get and the limited investment you made, it's a great alternative to cable if all you watch is network TV. From the reading I've done your area is the perfect spot for picking up all the channels. People north or east of the city have a harder time picking up the US channels.

Would using two indoor HD antennaes in a 2:1 splitter work as good as a single outdoor HD antennae? Too cold to go up and install a mast in this weather.

What is the best outdoor antenna you can buy? (500$ or so)

My house is 3 stories (a floor taller than the rest of the houses in my area), i'm pretty sure i can get line of sight to the CN tower. If i can get a few canadian networks i can stop paying 70$ a month for digital cable.

ohh that sucks we have viewsat but when we got it 2 years ago they kept zapping and it was going down so often and for long periods of time and we rendered it useless. my dad was thinking of trying it again but i guess ill have to inform him. can someone update when bev is up and running on viewsat.

why outdoor antenna?.. there are plenty internal 50 dollar antennas that can do the trick.

there is one at Sayal Electronics.. dont' remember the price.

heck.. if you are bored.. build one with coat hangers..
