A wierd electrical problem

This started a couple of days ago, when the temp really dipped.

When I start my car, I get a really loud squeel sounding like a belt. At the same time, the ABS and ACS lights flicker in the dash and the radio cuts out. It will last about 20 seconds.

Then sometimes when I brake, the squeel and flicker both come back under braking and go away about 20 seconds after I accelerate.

I can't for the life of me think how the two could be connected.

Battery is only 3 yrs old, checked voltage while running, 13.0.

Any thoughts?

ya charging seems low.... should be 14.4 or so. sounds like your belt slip is causing issues and if it doesnt charge full out it will make the car electrical act funny

does the noise sound like its coming from the bellhousing/through fire wall, I am having some weird isues at low rpms that go away with acceleration (one being rough idle) I think my altenator's low output is messed causing the problems.

Well, my first guess would be the alternator. Squeeling might be the bearing, and it's causing it run slugish?
