Where To Buy Suspension?

Just wondering if anyone out there knows a place that sell suspension for a good price. I'm looking for some h&r springs and some good shocks. Maybe bilsteins?

sorry for the question, but whats a cup kit? also, hows the ride, its for my e36.

No worries buddy - its a full suspension kit but its non adjustable (a step down from coilovers). So you basically get a full set of H & R springs and shocks/struts, ride is awesome, obviously a bit more stiffer but I use my car as a daily driver and have no issues with speed bumps etc.

There are two kits, the touring cup kit and the sport cup kit. The touring cup kit is meant for daily drivers, while the sport cup kit provides a more aggressive drop in ride height, and meant more for track use. I will try to take pics of my ride height and post them soon, but all in all, defintely a good buy,

Also did that $700 price tag include any other charges such as duties/taxes? BTW how is it in winter driving?

Yes it was for my E46 (03 325i), I bought it about a year and a half ago, it cost me $700 shipped to my door so it included all taxes, duty etc. I run my car as a daily driver, and this is currently my second winter with the cup kit - I have had no problems whatsoever with clearance in the snow, ride height etc,

Wow that doesn't seem like a bad price, i was looking at the PSS coilovers ($1000) but your setup seems like the better choice (im the kinda guy to just install it and leave, dont really like changing stuff around). What about the sport kit? How do you think that is for a DD, in terms of clearance and snow?

Coilovers are great if you track you car a lot, or if you want to raise your car a bit for the winter, lower it for the summer etc. But yes - you have to constantly get them adjusted, unless you learn how to do them yourself. I will definitely invest in a set of coil over when I upgrade from my current ride, I have a few friends who run coilovers on their daily driver BMW's and Audis. They do not track their cars but use them as DD's and coilovers were good in the cold too.

I personally would not recommend the sport kit for use as a DD - if you read up on it at the H & R website - it basically recommends the setup for track use, unless you want a really aggressive drop for street driving.

Will def post pics next week, currently cramming for a massive final exam on Monday (which means I should probably stop posting lol),

All in all - if you want the adjustability, and don't mind the price - BUY COILOVERS, if you want something more affordable then you can just setup once and leave - grab one of the cup kits,

I guess it depends whether the extra ~$300-$500 is worth it i guess, something im still contemplating.

If your selling/upgrading soon as you say, let me know as id really be interested in any of the parts you may be parting out (i.e. the cup kit and exhaust).

If the york meet goes through i'd love to see the kit in person instead of just pixs
