Experimenting

Thought up this photo idea today and executed it. my friends doing the burn out and I'm the one leaning on the car, thought having a smoke would add to the irony since my photo is captioned "smoking is bad", let me know what you guys think:

The foggy night really helps the effect. I like it.

I give you three cubic meters of solid white smoke thumbs up out of four, only due to crappy quality

Thanks, I didn't have my tripod on me so I could only push it to a shutter speed of 1/4 without bluring it and to get that shutter speed I had to do 3200 iso, hence the mad graininess. The camera used was a sony a200 dslr

Damn, i would have never guessed that was taken with an SLR, i thought it was a camera phone.

Find a faster lens for your camera, maybe a prime 50mm f1.8, every manufacture usually has that lens.

It was alottt darker than what it seems like in the photo, we shot two videos of the whole thing and you could barely make out the car's outline, no camera phone out there can take a picture like this. Without a faster lens this is the best I could do without a tripod. I'm very satified with the result actually

I like the look even with noise!
One of the best captures I've seen in a while!

LOL, Phone camera would probably give you a black screen in those conditions.

Thanks! Yea we had both a 3gs and a Nokia n95 8gig and both gave us completley useless photos even with exposure tweaking and night mode on the n95

Lol zero sets and it only took one attempt. My friend started the burnout and I waited for the smoke to build up till it looked good and then leaned on the car, lit a cig. Took a few shots and then I walked away ad my friend let go of the brakes and did the meanest powerslide I've seen in a while lol
