gotta love max, some people thought this includes the engine and still tried to haggle on price. THIS IS THE GEARBOX AND RELATED PARTS ONLY.

If you want the matching S50B32 engine, the price is $6000 (no tranny)

Agreed. I know there's a lot of people on here who aren't cheap, but there should be no place for the people that are. I simply hate cheap people.

Same as the 5-speed plus a 0.83 6th.

Kruler, i didn't want to ask this before the item sold, because i didn't want to affect the sale.

Is there any performance reason for a 6th gear? IIRC the 5th gear on ZF e36 transmissions is already overdriven, and the rest of the ratios are the same, correct?

This would probably be a great mod with a shorter geared diff, like a 3.64 or something.

5th on the E36 ZF is not overdrive, it's 1:1. I'm pretty sure the rest of the ratios on the 6 speed are shorter too.

yep, ratios from 1-5 are the same. it's just the addition of overdrive. also if i recall correctly, the 6 speed is a sealed unit so you cant change the fluid vs the 5 speed having the drain and fill bolts.
