So how business at your place?.

2009 been a ok year for our business,a little better than 2008 but nothing to brag about.First two months was below average but we picked up in March.I was wondering are we really out of the recession or it BS from the PR department from Ottawa.I have a lot of friends in construction (commerical) and they said its still very slow but residential is picking up.Food industry is still hurting for sure our suppliers are holding back price increase but %90 of our suppliers are saying its slow.I shop a lot around Queen Street and the stores dont look busy at all compare to 2008 and from the comments from the workers there they are still struggling even with price cuts.So how are members from Max copping with the recession.

Investment advice....slow but picking up. Lots of dissatisfied clients available to be picked up from competitors.

I work for Mercedes-Benz, we've been setting record sales every month in Canada, we're going to have record numbers again this year for total sales, the service side of the shop is also very busy, overtime is needed atleast a few times a week.

Yeah i've been hearing about the record sales at Mercedes-Benz cause my gf worked there and her dad is pretty high up in the company too. BMW has slowly been on a decline. Sales are ok but in comparison to how they've been in the past, things aren't looking too bright.

I'm a sales rep for a medical supplies and our company just landed a $25 million/year contract for 3 years which is over half of our business for ONtario.........things are good.

Apparently the theory is... in a down economy, people get sick, they go to the doctor, the doctor gets more business, spends more money on supplies.........

Getting better all the time. Although we will be under the original budget by 15-20% we should be spot on on the new one.
September closed with 43.7 million Euros revenue

You're not in an 'in the know' position, I see. Perhaps you should check your facts before you name drop your employer next time.

The BMW BRAND (as opposed to BMW Group which includes Mini and Rolls) was up 6% in October and also up 6% year to date over 2008. This is a record sales year yet again.

Mercedes has a larger % increase, they are up 19% year to date over 2008, but that's because they sucked donkey balls in 2008! Go ahead and quote that by the way... Despite their larger % increase, BMW is still the #1 seller of luxury vehicles in Canada.

where the hell do you get your facts from?, Mercedes-Benz Canada did record sales in 2008, it beat 2007 sales by 7000 units, so no they don't suck donkey ball, and this year is just slightly better than 2008, most likely sell 4000 units more this year.
