E34 Battery Replacement - 95 545i

I am posting this for my colleage in the US...question on the battery replacement on a2005 545i. Last night the car would not start and I had to jump start; it is time to replace the battery as it completely drained out.

"Instead of going to dealer who charge $450+ to replace the battery, can I just pick one at AutoZone and replace it myself? If I do it myself is there any gotcha or things I need to be careful like impacting my electrical etc."

Well, make sure you have the code for the stereo. And disconnect the ground wire first and reconnect the ground wire last. Other then that, it's pretty straight forward.

BTW, a 2005 545i is not an E34.
