Was it just Rogers changing there calling areas or was this Bell as well?

just curious...

btw...

when are the US providers coming in ? Verizion, Sprint, etc...

I know that my sister pays $49.00 usd / month for unlimitted texts, and any outgoing or incoming calls to anywhere in N. America.

Wow, some of you guys use an insane amount of minutes. 1000 minutes per month?

I would bitch that you dont have unlimited incoming. I did and got it for free.

You already have 6pm evenings & weekends (in sanj's case), so assuming you place calls evenly between the hours of 8am and 10pm (i know you dont, but for arguments sake) you already have 4 hours of free calling per day, which leaves 10 hours in which you're using your minutes. Weekends are free too, so you're left with M-F (5) * 10 = 50.

If you got unlimited incoming, assuming half of your calls are incoming, we can assume you can use the equivalent of 2100 minutes per month.

50*4.5*60= 13500 minutes per month that you could use your 2100 minutes in. That means you spend 17% of your time between the hours of 8-6pm on the phone.

I'm not saying its impossible, but look at your usage. Having my5 on top of that? Unless you talk 5000+ minutes a month, you need a different plan.

I tried bitching today and this is the best they offered:

$35 + 6.95 SA + $0.50 911 for 200 anytime, UNLTD Rogers to Rogers, Evenings & weekends from 7PM, 2500 texts Caller ID, VM and all that crap. And a Nokia 5800 Express Music for 149. All inked for a 3yr term.

My current plan:

$23+ $6.95 +$0.50 for 200 anytime, evenings and weekends after 6, 2500 texts, caller ID, VM, and all that crap. Basically same as above minus UNLTD Rogers to Rogers and evenings start one hour earlier.

I tried arguing for another monthly credit, but she wouldn't do it. Any thoughts?

edit:
Bitched some more and got this:

$45 month all in (tax/fees, etc) for 200 anytime, 2500 texts, 150MB data, UNLTD incoming and Rogers to Rogers, Caller ID, VM, and all that crap. Sound like a good deal?

^BAHAHAH. When i was calling mine in, i kept my fingers crossed nto to get one of those hacks. Did you ask to talk to Customer Relations?

On another note, people when you are getting your retention palns ensure that you voice record the entire conversation, as they like to play DUMB. They tend to deny what they offered once you get your heafty bill! It has happened to me with this latest deal that i got. I had to call the "Office of the President" and then everythign got resolved.

^^no offense, but i disagree.

I call and change my plan every 2 months or so, and they always do as they say, and if they dont, they'll make it right, generally right away.

(i once got them to give me my5 for free cause i said the CSR said it would be included)

Yay lying!

i tried calling last week and she told me that if i wanted to leave i could pay the $380 ecf for the term remaining and leave, i said sure and she canceled. But i told her i wanted to port my number and she left it on.

Retentions are becoming bitches too, they used to give you everything but now they barely budge. Whats the deal?
