Not at all, it's an excellent car in every respect. It goes back next year anyway, likely to be replaced with something non-bmw.

E60s are great cars. But the new F10 is infinitely more desirable with or without an M Sport package. The Sport package alone with already have 19" wheels on this car, and LOOK at it! Sexy as hell. The turbo V8 is a best of a motor. You can have the F10 in June and it's clearly the benchmark of the class once again.

The only problem is that even sport package is inadequate once you have owned two m-sport 5's. The difference between the non msport 545i and msport 550i is night and day. They hardly feel like the same car, where the sport package 545i was soft and wallowy and unstable (in comparision) during any kind of serious cornering, the 550i is composed and rock solid.

Active steering on the 545i, not on the msport. Drove why a sport package without active steering and it was even worse. The active steering was the best part of the 545i.

I'm not suggesting I wouldn't buy the M Sport version if it were available. I love the 2008-2010 550i M Sport, it's much better than a non-M Sport. The F10 550i will be a much better vehicle still.
