I've barely ever used BBM just because I'm used to texting everyone...

Never knew you could do groups, that's cool. I've added the Max group.

Also think the barcode is a cool feature, I've heard of it but never actually used it. Apparently it can be used by all smart phones for different purposes... first I'd ever heard about it was when someone put it on a bottle of wine. You can scan the label with your phone and it will bring you to their home page or something like that....

There are a few things that should be known.

1. If you are using a curve/pearl please make sure that you have updated your OS to 4.5 as people who have not done this have lost BBM completely when updating. Also PLEASE do a back-up of your device before upgrading. (Just in case it deletes your bbm off your phone)

2. Please do NOT download from APP WORLD. this has caused problems for the curve and Pearl. Download from blackberry's website. (Its book marked in your phones browser)

3. (For telus berries) If you are on the social networking data package (Ie. Student 35) you can download from the website on your computer and then instal onto your phone using Desktop Manager. ( i am not sure if rogers or bell have a "Social Network" package, you can probably guess who i am employed by!)

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Brad

For making the barcodes:
http://www.racoindustries.com/barcod...d/qr-code.aspx
just enter your pin and it should make a code. I don't actually have a blackberry, but my phone reads them alright.

edit: never mind, after scanning one of the codes on page 1, I see that they have different info encoded. Nonetheless, the link is useful for sending people links, your business info, etc.
