Сгstom length driveshaft is ONLY needed if you have 5 Speed.

I have 6 speed tranny, my driveshaft works fine.

Please keep me updated on how this goes as I'm very interested as well. I don't want to swap internals though, I want a "bolt on" ready to go 3.46LSD. Keep me posted guys!

hey guys, just an update: HP Autowerke have not been replying to my e-mails, so I'm now in touch with VAC who are saying they can beat HP's price. I've asked for a price list breaking down the prices per units bought so I'll post up when I get a reply...

Alright, I got an e-mail reply asking how many people are roughly 90% set to buy ? This way he can give me a price based on that... Can we please start a list so I can give them the number?

I got an email from VAC saying they can give us $1250usd/unit if we can get a minimum of 4 people.

Anyways, looks like all the interest has died down so I'm just gonna pick up a Wavetrac from VAG motorsports in montreal for myself..

just the internal LSD unit, you swap it into your current gear set.

Hey just wondering if my buddy could be included in the group buy. He's looking to get an LSD for his VR6 Corrado. Let me know if this is possible.

Not sure, I'll have to ask since we're doing a group buy for E46's. Eitherway, there's only me and another person thats interested right now... which isn't enough.
I might just get the Wavetrac from VAG Motorsports - they're selling it for $1225 and I've been reading good things about those units

Hey Mike,

Perhaps if you're willing to wait until it gets a little warmer out, I'll join the group by?

If there are 3 of us, what is the price?

hey guys, so just an update; we still don't have enough interest for the VAC group buy, but here is the alternative: I spoke to JRP here in mississauga, they have the Wavetracs in stock (as per he said) and they sell them for $1190! This is not even a group buy price!! I think I wanna go for that since they're local and if i ever have issues I can just go in personally rather than having to deal with an obscure person over e-mail...

they are the same in terms of being a gear type LSD. Here's the technical info from their website, which also shows some comparison to Quaife's LSDs:

http://www.wavetrac.net/technical.htm

I've heard of people with 800hp cars using these diffs with no problems. I was also talking to a representative at VAG Motorsports in montreal, he was saying he's used this diff in his race M3 (or his brothers??) and in plenty of bmw's with no issues. I know they're also really popular among 135/335 owners.
