I didn't get a chance to see the last 3 comments earlier.
In Poland (which is part of the Eastern Europe) they don't sell leaded fuel. Both 98 octane and 95 octane are lead free (although you are somewhat correct - the 95 used to have lead and the 98 was unleaded but that was about 10 years ago)
I did ship the car to Europe because i DO love it. it costs about $1250US to ship the car. Depending which port you send it to you might be dealing with offloading costs which can be as expensive as $500US or... as little as $0. I checked around and that's what I did. The car was shipped to Gdansk in Poland and then forwarded to Bielsko-Biala where I personally unloaded the car and didn't have to pay anyone. Safety and registration fee is about $300CDN and insurance for the entire year (with no discounts because I don't have any European driving experience) was about $200CDN and each year it drops by 10% up to 60% after 6 years. (so technically in 6 years i should be paying around $80/year.
I had to make a few changes... I had to loose the HIDs because they are illegal here unless you have Xenon headlights... I had to get rid of the corner amber positioning lights (which I intended to do anyways), rewire my breaklights so that 1 light is "on" when the fog lights are "on" and they didn't like the fact my windows are tinted... but they didn't make me take the tints off.
I was debating selling the car (4 times already) back in Canada but I never went through with the sale because I always felt like the value of the car > the market price.
